Year Winter Beginning
as the Galactic Centre and Pluto meet at the Winter Solstice
7th January 2009
If it were possible, it might be a good idea to move south now. Last night there were record low temperatures in Germany. Breathing the air as I went out the door this morning, reminded me of the film the Day After Tomorrow in which a man opening the door to his helicopter was flash-frozen.
This morning cars would not start, or stood by the side of the road abandoned, hospitals were filled with accident victims, frozen pipes burst, and water flooded the houses and streets. Electricity was lost and so also heating, and on the TV came the news that Russia had chosen a perfect time to turn the tap off that supplies gas to its western neighbours. To top it all, one heard the warming news of the war between Israel and Palestine.
The reason for it all is not something one can know without being able to read the Great Year clock. For these changes are understandable only if one realizes that the Galactic Centre is nearing the winter solstice. The Galactic Centre marks the Great Year seasonal shifts.
Just as winter begins at the winter solstice of the year and the first snow often falls around the solstice when the Sun enters Capricorn just before Christmas, so too as the Galactic Centre enters the sign of Saturn in its 26,000 year Great Year cycle, we can expect a Great Freeze in the northern hemisphere. (If there is a Golden Age coming it will be at the equator or in southern latitudes, not here).
The Galactic centre is not yet in Capricorn, according to astrological calculations it will be in 27° Sagittarius in 2010. However, Plutos transit into Capricorn in conjunction with it and soon in square to Uranus occurring on the Holy Cross aspect oft he Great Year cycle now, could cause the sudden flip in climate to occur in the next few years.
On the next day I spoke to my sister in southern England, she said the sea had frozen close to where she lives, and that it had never happened before.
Great Year changes can occur quite suddenly, life has been flash-frozen while peacefully chewing buttercups, or going about its daily business, before. Perhaps these changes will be triggered through polar shifts as some suggest, or by super-storms when the Gulf Stream collapses, or through volcanic eruptions, or all of these factors, but they will be triggered.
Sudden changes and shifts could come in the next few years, or we may have another few hundred years time. Theodore Landscheidt claimed we'd admit that we're heading for an ice age by 2012, based on an understanding of solar response to great cycles, and he said that long before the 2012 mania.
Last night, as Europe was freezing around me, I stayed up and looked long into the coming years and fearfully recognized that some of the worst disasters I had forecasted were nearly upon us, with 2010 bringing one disaster after another and some of the worst ones, potentially affecting the whole earth.
Here is the chart of last night. By cold, one should consider the placing of Saturn and bodies placed in one of his signs, Saturn rules the two signs of deepest winter in the northern hemisphere: Capricorn and Aquarius.

Pluto and Lilith had just entered his sign of Capricorn and the Sun and Mars were also placed there. Saturn is square the Galactic Centre and five other bodies are in Saturn's other sign of Aquarius. By sudden changes of a disastrous nature one should consider Uranus, the other new ruler of Aquarius. If you look at the chart you will see a bow and arrow, marked in blue, pointing at Uranus in Pisces (water sign) telling of the water disasters and icy accidents that occurred last night and this morning.
On top of this bow and arrow I have marked an orange T square that also involves Saturn and Uranus pointing at the GC close tot he winter solstice, adding to the cold conditions. As both malefics, Saturn and Mars are both involved, and aspecting t he Galactic Centre, this is also causing the Gaza conflict between Israel and Palestine. The 9/11 Terror Atack and other violent events and wars also occurred with Mars in this position and aspects from Saturn.
Saturn is also trine the Sun that is placed in Saturn's cold sign of Capricorn and, at the time the chart is calculated, there is a bow created pointing to the Sun in Capricorn.
Saturn in Virgo, the Sun in Capricorn the Moon in Taurus form a trine in earth signs and this helps create three bows at this time all pointing towards the winter half of the chart. Pluto and Lilith have just entered Capricorn together, and are still in conjunction with the Galactic Centre that is nearing the winter solstice at 27° Sagittarius.
Just look at how many heavenly bodies there are in the winter signs: nine bodies, including the North Node, are in the two most wintery signs of all; Capricorn and Aquarius.So we might wonder, will it get colder in the very near future?
Pluto entered Capricorn, in conjunction with the tropical Galactic Centre just about 3 degrees from the winter solstice, for the first time last year on the 26 January 2008. Just before this date people had been talking about global warming and how to counteract it, for instance by creating a pretend volcanic eruption to block the rays of the Sun (horror).
I thought then, that Nature was going to deal with that problem herself, and indeed a few days later, within less than two days of Pluto's movement from the fire sign Sagittarius to the cold earth sign of Capricorn, and seemingly without the need of the smallest eruption, Mother Nature redressed the balance: South East China was thrown into the grip of an unusual strong cold wave that brought things to a standstill.
Such waves of warm and cold have caused the rise and fall of whole cultures and civilizations: many blame the fall of Rome on an unusual cold spell connected to similar motions of Pluto.
How easy it would be to knock out all communications and bring the fall of this great civilization we live in, by turning down the temperature a few degrees.
Last night in the villages close by record cold temperatures of around 26°celsius were measured. Already that first entry lof Pluto into into Capricorn ast year, on the 28th of January 2008, brought the following news from the east:
"The most serious snowstorms in 30 years have affected 14 provinces and 77.8 million people, causing 24 deaths so far. About 107,000 houses have collapsed and 827,000 people have relocated. 4.1 million hectares of farmland are affected. Direct economic loss is estimated to reach RMB22 billion" Hong Kong Red Cross, 28 Jan 2008
In addition to considering the motion of the known heavenly bodies we should now fly higher than the eagle and gain a galactic perspective. We must consider the Great Year direction in which we are headed. We are leaving an age behind that was ruled by a Jupiterian God and his signs of Sagittarius[i] and Pisces (where the vernal equinox has been in the last 2000 odd years). Now we are precessing into a vernal Aquarian and galactic Capricorn age ruled by Saturn.
Below left is the chart of January 28th 2008 as Pluto had just entered Capricorn and below it for comparison is the chart of 28th January 2009. Both show a bundle of bodies in the two winter signs suggesting cold conditions.

unch up in the signs of Capricorn and Aquarius. Such groupings may help
to trigger a Great Year flip. Saturn plays a major role, so more cold may be on the way.What is similar in the two charts is the bunching of bodies in the signs Capricorn and Aquarius.
As Pluto has again just reentered Capricorn we are beginning to notice tremendous temperature drops and disasters resulting, especially when the Moon is additionally on the winter side of the chart or creating bows and arrows point at the winter signs.

The effects of Pluto and Lilith in Capricorn are exaggerated by the conjunction with the GC that is also in a T square to Saturn and Uranus now.
When a bow and arrow point at Uranus in Pisces then the cold may again cause pipes to burst and other ice and water accidents and disasters, including ship disasters and flooding. N the past there were usually bows and arrows pointed at Uranus in the charts associated with the collapse of ice rinks and other buildings collapsing under the weight of snow masses etc.
Additionally, what is beginning now, that also occurred back in the 1930s, is an economic "cold" condition otherwise known as a depression. It began last time with a Black Friday on 25th October 1929 under a T square. The T square then also involved Uranus. Uranus on the ascendant to Capricorn on the midheaven with the Galactic Centre there conjunct Saturn.
1n the 1930s Uranus moved on to square Pluto bringing many changes. Now we have again a T square between Uranus, Saturn and the GC but this time including Pluto directly in Capricorn, so this may cause a quicker and much more extreme contraction.
1933 and 34, the worst years of the Great Depression, brought also some record cold in America and Canada, with Ontario suffering its coldest day ever on 29th December 1933 and America and Canada together suffering a coldest day less than two months later on February 2nd 1934, as Saturn and the North Node were in Aquarius and moving to conjunct each other, (see chart). Sometimes I wonder what our schools are wasting time in teaching, when one could learn so much more now through the study of this wonderful galactic astrology!

1993 brought the Storm of the Century to the east coast America: a cyclonic blizzard caused a big freeze along the east coast that came suddenly. Similar
cold storms will be likely in America in the future. Especially when Saturn in Libra forms a bow with Neptune in Aquarius pointing at Pluto in Capricorn conjunct the GC, as it does in parts of 2011
and 2012.If there is a Golden Age coming, which many Americans seem to be hoping: with a blooming of consciousness and an awakening of the colourful Quetzalcoatl-kukulkan snake of kundalini, then it will not be coming to North America, for there that snake, in Great Year terms, is returning to the Underworld for a long Great Winter sleep.

In the chart of the Storm of the Century we see a grand cross involving Saturn and a bow and arrow pointing at Saturn in one of Saturn's own signs. There is additionally, less well marked, a bow to Uranus and Neptune in Saturn's sign of Capricorn and Jupiter and Saturn form a kind of bow to the North Node conjunct the Galactic centre. The Nodes of tehe Moon aspecting the Galactic Centre are involved in a great number of the worst disasters, and the really big and unforgettable ones tend to show an involvement of Jupiter and saturn both.
Returning to the present, on the 8th January 2009 it became clear that some areas in Europe are suffering their worst winter days in 100 years.
The Galactic Centre is placed in Sagittarius in its temporary tropical motion, but is very close to moving on into Capricorn. The Greek writer Seneca records in his work Quaestionis Naturalis the Babylonian World Age doctrine, which other ancient cultures also shared, that the world is destroyed twice in the Great Year cycle, once when the planets line up in Cancer, where the Galactic Centre was placed between about 11 and 13,000 years ago, and the other time when they line up in Capricorn. Certainly the lining up of the usual heavenly bodies alone is not enough to cause such a destruction of the world unless supported by the effect of the Galactic Centre's motion over the summer and winter solstices at these two extremes - and into these two signs. Whether these writers knew of the Galactic centre is however uncertain, but some writers certainly did. However, the disasters would have indeed been observed to have been triggered when the planetary helpers additionally unloaded their apocalyptic bowls in these signs, tipping the balance. So it is possible that the Great Flood occurred in July when the Sun would also have been in the water sign Cancer, or in October-November, when the Sun would be aspecting it from the destructive water sign of Scorpio. The Galactic Centre at the solstices is perhaps always associated with water disasters for the Galactic Centre has a Yin body.
The Great Year winter disaster was associated primarily with water as the summer one was with fire, but there is evidence that both fire and water disasters are often caused at these times of transition, the one triggering the other. Already the rising waters are flooding some lands, yet it may be more than a flood or deluge of water. From the time Uranus enters the fire sign Aries in 2010 there will be increasing volcanic eruptions, as this squares the Galactic centre and Pluto at the winter solstice and Pluto in the earth winter sign of Capricorn as well as the fire sign Sagittarius these will be involved in a shift of some sort that occurs and great earthquakes and volcanic eruptions may lead to a sudden freeze. Such sudden shifts have occurred in the past.
